Martina Rega from the University of Parma received the most votes in the poster video competition, taking home first prize. Martina’s poster describes her PhD research on antimicrobial phenomena potentially related to the food chain.

Oana-Maria Balmos from the University of Cluj-Napoca was one of the runners-up in the ONE Conference video poster contest. African swine fever has had an impact on the Balkans and Oana-Maria’s research looks at the virus DNA in stable flies and biting midges collected from swine farms during outbreaks in Romania.

Fernando is a Spanish researcher currently working as a trainee at EFSA. Working at the heart of EU food safety, his poster describes the uses and challenges of applying benchmark dose modelling for the safety assessment of novel foods.
