Science Café: Omics – the magic of seeing the invisible and predicting the future
Omics methods and bioinformatics approaches are increasingly being applied in regulatory science (e.g. genomics/whole genome sequencing for AMR) and will be used more in the future (e.g. transcriptomics, proteomics, metagenomics, epigenomics, metabolomics, exposomics, etc). The objective of this Science Café is to raise awareness of the importance and power of omics methods and bioinformatic approaches in next-generation food safety risk assessment. We will highlight the substantial contribution made by EFSA in this field and how it is preparing for future risk assessment needs. Join us for coffee, a live 10-minute presentation with Q&A, posters/videos and an interactive board for your feedback.
